Thank you for using PlantAware (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use PlantAware.
By using the App, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.
The App allows you to take or upload images of plants. These photos are used solely for plant identification, disease detection, and analysis.
We do not:
Collect photos without your permission
Access your photo library without your action
Sell, rent, or share your photos with third parties
We may temporarily transmit photos to:
Rork AI Toolkit (rork.com) for plant analysis All processing is performed securely and only for the purpose of generating results.
We do not store your photos on our servers.
1.2 Device Permissions
The App may request access to:
Camera — to capture plant images
Photo library — to upload existing photos
Microphone — only if required by the OS for camera operation (not used for audio recording)
Internet — to send photos to the AI engine and receive results
Permissions are used exclusively for app functionality and can be revoked at any time in system settings.
1.3 Subscription & Purchase Information
If you subscribe to PlantAware Premium:

Google Play Store
process your payment information. We do not collect or store credit card numbers.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives:
Anonymous app user ID
Product purchased
Purchase status (active, expired, canceled)
Region/currency
RevenueCat does not receive photos or personal identity data.
1.4 Usage Data (Anonymous)
We may collect anonymous usage information such as:
App interactions
Features used
Crash logs
Device type
OS version
This helps improve performance and features.
No personal data or identity tracking occurs.
We use collected information to:
Identify plants
Diagnose plant diseases
Provide plant care instructions
Improve app features
Manage subscriptions
Fix bugs and improve stability
Personalize the user experience
We do not sell your data.
We may share limited information with trusted service providers:
3.1 Rork AI Toolkit (Plant Analysis)
Your plant photos are securely transmitted to the AI engine only for analysis.
3.2 RevenueCat (Subscription Handling)
RevenueCat receives only anonymous subscriber data needed to manage your purchase.
3.3 Apple / Google
Required for processing payments and verifying subscriptions.
We do not share data with:
Advertisers
Marketing companies
Data brokers
Social media platforms
We do not store plant photos on our servers.
Temporary processing may occur only for analysis and is deleted immediately after results are generated.
Subscription and purchase status is retained as long as needed to maintain your access to premium features.
PlantAware is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover such data was collected, it will be deleted immediately.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data:
Encrypted network communication
Secure processing environments
Limited data retention
No unnecessary data storage
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Depending on your region, you may have the right to:

Delete your data
Correct inaccurate information
Withdraw permission for camera/photos
